Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually to recognize Dr. Reading to children is one of the best things we can do to help them start and stay on a path to success. It is clever phrasing for such an important task. Thursday, March 2nd is day number 61 of the 2023 calendar year with 6 months, 1 day until Read Across America Day 2023.So said Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Days to the start of Read Accross America Day 2023 The National Education Association (NEA) was one of the main backers of this idea to have a special day to promote reading among the population and especially children. Seuss had his birthday on March 2nd thus original planners of the holiday wanted it to be near his birthday.
